The Transfer Tank Kit was developed directly for the British Army and uses a combination of a reliable 240v water pump, quick release hoses and a self-supporting collapsible 1000 litre water tank. The pump has a total head capability of 40 meters and delivers up to 60 litres per minute; together with the tank this provides the user the ability to store water pre-purification directly in the base camp to minimise water logistics and associated risks.
Whilst filling the tank, Dosing Shots (Shot ‘A’ coagulant and Shot ‘B’ flocculent) are added to the water from simple to use, factory prepared measures in dropper bottles. This makes the sediment in the source water clump together and sink to the bottom of the tank. Now when Séon is used to purify this clearer water, filter life can be significantly increased.
The tank does not require any poles or frame, simply fill with water and it will stand up into its correct shapes as the water level rises. It flat packs down into its own carry bag for transportation.
The pump comes with its own carry handle, cam-lock quick release hose fittings. Hoses are also equipped with cam-lock fittings, a one way foot valve and Wananchi designed float to keep the suction end of the hose out of the sediment at the bottom of the water.
All kit comes with canvas bags to stow away.
